I’m Rushali Kundu — a chef, food developer, and culinary researcher blending global flavours with modern technique. From luxury hotel kitchens to building my own culinary brand, my work lives at the intersection of creativity, culture, and precision.

Every plate I create tells a story.

Here is a sneak peak into my culinary journey that is just getting started.

Who I Am

Born and brought up in Kolkata, my relationship with food began long before professional kitchens. I grew up surrounded by the layered complexity of Bengali cooking—where patience, spice, and emotion come together effortlessly.

My earliest inspiration came from my mother and grandmother, whose intuitive cooking shaped my understanding of flavour and instilled in me a deep respect for the craft. I often wondered why they never pursued it professionally—until I chose to carry that dream forward myself.

For me, becoming a chef is not just a career.
It is a legacy.


Journey & Training

Driven by this passion, I pursued formal culinary training at the Culinary Academy of India, followed by an MBA in International Hospitality Management from the Emirates Academy in Dubai, and most recently, an MSc in Food Consumer Marketing & Product Development in the UK, graduating with Distinction.

My journey has taken me through some of the world’s most respected hospitality environments, including:

Alongside this, I have worked across diverse kitchens—from street food concepts to luxury hotel operations—constantly refining my craft and perspective.



My Brand — Tasty Passion

Tasty Passion is my startup brand, founded in 2019—an idea that grew from a personal dream into a living, evolving platform.

Through Tasty Passion, I:

  • Share curated recipes and culinary ideas
  • Create meaningful food experiences for clients
  • Publish food stories and blogs

In Kolkata, the brand offers:

  • Bespoke food, dessert, and cake orders for private dining and celebrations
  • Workshops, crash courses, and personalised cooking classes
  • Chef-on-hire services for exclusive experiences

I also provide recipe development, menu design, and consultancy services for individuals and businesses looking to elevate their food concepts.
