Through this recipe I want to bring out the heroism of a simple bread with which you can end your meal in the sweetest manner…

Ingredients you will need for this are:

Kesariya Shahi Tukra

Ingredient :

  • White Bread – 4 slices
  • Ghee – 5tbsp
  • Full cream milk – 500ml
  • Sugar – 2.5tbsp
  • Khoya – 2tbsp
  • Saffron – few strands soaked in warm milk and few for garnishing
  • Cardamom powder – 1/2tsp
  • Sliced Almond – 1tbsp
  • Chopped pistachio – 1/2tbsp
  • Dried rose Petals – 1tsp

Method :

  • Cut the bread slices into half diagonally.
  • Heat ghee on medium flame and fry the bread slices till golden brown.
  • For the rabdi, on low flame, reduce milk till it becomes half. Keep stirring to avoid burning.
  • Add sugar and grated khoya in it.
  • Add the soaked Saffron milk with strands.
  • Flavour with Cardamom powder and cook it further till the rabdi (thick saucy) consistency is achieved.
  • Arrange 4 fried triangle bread slices on a plate.
  • Spoon the Kesariya rabdi on it and garnish with sliced almonds, chopped pistachio, dried rose petals and few strands of Saffron.
  • Devour them with your loved one immediately or keep them in fridge for sometime so that the bread soaks up all the Kesariya rabdi and becomes moist.
